I’m Rebecca Angela

Hello! I’m Rebecca, founder of Rebecca-Angela.com.au. For a number of years I ran a creative business, first called Blue Radish and later under my own name. These days my career has taken me in a new direction, and I now work as a registered mental health counsellor. However, I still enjoy keeping this space alive and updated. Many of my past articles and tutorials continue to help people who stumble across them, and I also update older posts so they stay relevant alongside newer ones. If you’ve landed here for ideas, inspiration, or one of my posts, old or new, welcome — I’m glad you’re here!

A Little More About Me

I’ve been creating all my life – from music to drawing, to sewing, to painting and printing. As parent with young children, art and craft became my sanity saver. I started creating things to sell which grew into my label, Blue Radish and evolved into Rebecca Angela.

I ‘officially’ ran my creative business from 2015. My little kids have grown into three awesome adults now who tower over me – and amaze me every day.

With a background in psychology, teaching and community services work, I also love helping people which led to writing pieces that I hoped would be helpful, here and elsewhere. Now, however, I am now a registered counsellor!

Over the years, however, I have written a number of blog posts to help other people be creative. On the blog, you might find tutorials to make something fun and functional or musings on how to bring more creativity into the world. I like to think of myself as a creativity enabler!

In recent years, sustainability has become a huge interest of mine. I also wrote for big platforms. In my “spare” time, I enjoy gardening, reading and getting out in nature. And I love to learn. I have an insatiable curiosity and a drive for mastery so if I’m faced with a problem or something I need to do, I’m a bit like a terrier until I work it out.
